JOY/DISASTER is Nicolas ROHR (vocals & guitars), Franz Mac GRAY (bass) and David L'HUILLIER (drums & backing vocals) & Simon BONNAFOUS (guitars & keybards - live musician), mixing Post-Punk from the 80's and modern rock music. Created in 2005, the band immediately began promoting themselves with their first self-titled demo through DJs, promoters, radios, webzine/magazines and fans all around the world. They released their first album "J. D.", distributed by the French label MANIC DEPRESSION and the German label STROBELIGHT RECORDS, in September 2006 selling 500 copies during shows. Their latest LP "PARANOÏA" was released in September 2007 which they have all across Europe during this last year and for which they have recently recorded a video clip. Through all of this their fan base has continued to grow with their sound gaining a large audience in many countries such as Germany, England, USA, Austria, Italy, and Spain, to name a few, where they have become known for the quality of their music and live performances full of punk energy and rock'n‘roll attitude. JOY/DISASTER continues to grow, now signed by Zorch Factory Records and working with great sound technicians, the band is currently recording its third album to be released in March 2009.

Si dichiarano influenzati dal post punk degli anni '80 e dal movimento rock'n'roll dagli anni '50 ai '70. Certo, ascoltando i loro pezzi, non si possono certo disconoscere gli evidenti richiami a gruppi come Bauhaus o Joy Division…ma oserei dire che essi, con certa prepotenza punk, si inseriscono bene anche nell'attuale filone indie. Vengono da Nancy (Francia) e sono una vera promessa della scena
indie-wave europea. Il tour toccherà altre tre importanti capitali europee: Parigi,Berlino,Oslo.
